Flowers

All of these photos were taken in Hawaii.  Hawaii has several varieties of flowers. This one, in particular, is from Limahuli Botanical Gardens in Kauai.  It  host a rare collection of native Hawaiian plants.

Flowers donated to the SGI Center in Hawaii.  Its a beautiful center on Pali Highway if you have never been.

Beautiful flowers given to me from a friend: Don't you think they look like the beautiful bud of friendship?
Good Morning!

I think these flowers will help cheer you up!

Flowers and animals, I believe, are good ways to help nurture those with illnesses.

One day I was feeling very down and very anxious.  I went to a friend's house and right when I opened the door, there was the cutest dog there.  It jumped on me, licked me over and over.  It had so much joy that it poured it all over me.  It was such as treasure and it lifted my spirits like never before.   This dog, a furry friend, made me feel so wonderful as I hugged it.

Let's make sure to enjoy our day~

P.s. if you like to watch movies and looking to relax,

watch this documentary on flowers: Moving Art, http://movingart.com/tag/flowers/.

Choose Hope Again

This is a photo of myself in Kauai, Hawaii back in 2013.
Dreaming of spaces far away, it seems everyone is in tune with reality and there is something wrong with you.  It seems you can't connect.  A wall is blocking up inside and its hard to breathe.

Anxiety. The worst part of this illnesses is that you can feel so alone in it.  You can feel like you are the only one that is experiencing this, that the world around you is crashing down.  But the truth is 6.8 million adults are going through this and as young women, we are twice as likely to go through it (http://www.adaa.org/understanding-anxiety/generalized-anxiety-disorder-gad).  Many are feeling caught up by their life and being thrown by it as if they are the only ones who see this.  But this is the first thing to notice is that anxiety can seem all about you when it really takes away from who you really are.

Here are some tips to help:

Honor your life at the end of the day no matter what it looked like

Breathing exercises are very useful.  Try breathing in and counting to 8, hold the breath, and then let it out for 8.

Remember good times no matter how wrapped up in the anxiety you are.

Have hope!  Hope is a powerful source of potential in your life.  With it, you can imagine the doors open before you and you can sense a joyful future.  Many many times I have had to fight the resignation that waits for me to stop my efforts and give into the depression.  To get out of this, I use hope. With hope, I feel comfort, I feel a changing future.  A change in that moment. Choose hope.  We can choose.  Choose Hope.
